A Day at the Ice Skating Rink

We took Kylee ice skating today with our friends, Jenny and James, and their two kids, Carter and Jack. Both James' stayed upstairs where it was warm with the little kids and watched us skate below. We have been talking about ice skating since before my surgery, but we weren't able to go until now for several reason. So Kylee was pretty pumped up about ice skating. Anyhow, she knew was ice skating was because she has watched Caillou on PBS a few too many times. Caillou has gone taken ice skating lessons and had a lot of fun, so Kylee was excited. We got to use these cool metal skate aids to help kids stay on their feet. Kylee held on while I skated around. She had so much fun. She kept saying "faster, faster" and "look at me!" She could even skate by herself, but very slowly. She fell a few times, but I told her that she needs to get back up and try again. She didn't even care if she fell, she had no problem trying again. I took a few pictures with my point-and-shoot camera, but I also used the really nice one I have. I'll post those when I get them develped later this week. But for now, here are the ones from the other camera.

and here is a few cute ones of Wyatt. He has been such a great little boy during the day lately. We have been trying to get him to crawl also. He's doing good, other than night time. For some reason he has been been waking up 3 or 4 times a night since his surgery. I don't know why, maybe gas.

Way to go , Kylee!! It looks like she had a great time. Wyatt is growing so fast.....is his hair as red as it looks in the pictures?

I don't know why that picture makes his hair look red, but there is not a bit of red in his hair. its more dark blonde.

One time I took Ambriel ice skating at Moody Gardens (it's been several years ago) and she used one of those skate aids. They help! I didn't try skating myself, of course!

I think it's wonderful that Kylee gets to go out and do so many fun things!
