James' phone call

James called me today while I was at the gym running. I felt bad cause the first couple of minutes I was a bit out of breath. lol. But he is doing well. They had a long flight to Romania. Usually they let the troops off the plane for a few hours but Romania wouldn't let them because they were worried of the swine flu virus. So they had to sit on the plane with no AC for several hours. Eventually he made it to Qatar where he called me from. He stayed the night there and was hoping to be on his way to Kirkuk either late tonight or early morning tomorrow (our time). So I am hoping he made it there safely and is getting settled in. I don't know when I will hear from him next.

The kids got to talk to him a bit. They both were excited to hear his voice, as was I. We are all doing ok, just trying to keep busy. I'm going to the gym everyday since school is out now. The kids play with their friends and we try to find fun things to do... even if its just walking around the mall. Kylee has art classes once a week at the local are museum. They are a little boring for her, but its something to do. We are counting down the days until Laura flies in, and then when we get to go to Texas for a few weeks. It will be a nice break from here, but I'm hoping a cool front will be there. lol. Which means 70's or 80's temp wise. I've heard they have had temps in the low 100's. YIKES!
