More arts and crafts

We did some more fun projects this weekend. I took Kylee to a class at Margie's Art Glass Studio where we painted ceramic Easter eggs with bubbles. Kylee dropped the egg once in the watered down paint, but I think it just made it look prettier. It was basically the same technique that we did a few days ago with paper. The egg will be fired this week and ready to pick up this weekend.

I also let Kylee use acrylic paints on a canvas. I really wanted a piece of art to hang in the living room. She painted the whole canvas then I put newspaper pieces on top of the canvas for her to paint over. After she painted the paper, we took off the pieces and saw how it changed the canvas. That was a pretty cool technique. We also put a jelly bean in paint and rolled it onto the canvas. I also tried painting an ear of corn and letting Kylee roll it across the art. That was pretty cool, but it didn't work like I wanted it to. Her painting looks beautiful and I cannot wait to hang it up.

Tonight we will be making an 'I Spy' bottle. Its basically just an empty water bottle filled with rice. Then we put little stuff in it like a jelly bean, puzzle pieces, dice, etc. and the kids can try to find all the items in the bottle.
I have a few more projects we need to do, but I need to find some things Wyatt can do as well. I think I might get him a smaller canvas to paint something on.

Art is such an important part of development and Kylee & Wyatt have just the right Mom to help them along. Thanks for all of the new pictures.
