I'm back

Sorry I haven't been on much. I have been so busy with school lately. I have a really big biology test I need to take tonight. Its about chemistry so its supposed to be the hardest test of the year. In my opinion, if I wanted to learn about chemistry, I would have signed up for that class and not biology. haha.

Anyhow, last weekend I took some time to myself and didn't do much homework. On friday James and I went out for our 6th anniversary. We went to a resturant called 'Michael's'. Its a locally owened italian resturant. We have heard so much good things about it so we wanted to try it without the kids there. It was a bit more expensive than Applebees but it was so worth it. They give you HUGE proportions, which is great for left overs. James had some mexican alfredo that he loved. I had the chicken parmesean on a bed of spheghetti. I liked my meal, but I wouldn't get it again. After that, we went to go see a movie. We saw "Paul Blart: Mall cop" with Kevin James. It was SO funny! I normally don't laugh at movies, even when its funny. (I like to really pay attention). But this movie I laughed the WHOLE time! Such a good comedy and I love Kevin James. James and I both had a great date, it was much needed alone time.

Saturday I had plans to go with the outdoor rec on base on a ski trip just an hour up north. I know the manager of outdoor rec, so I got my snowboard rental free and didnt' have to pay for the bus. We went up to Bottineau Ski Park. The ride there was horrible cause the bus's heat didn't work very well and it was -17 outside. Our toes were throbbing by the time we got to the ski park. I have never snowboarded or skiid before so I was a bit nervous, but I did pretty well. I had a hell of a time trying to figure out the lift. The bunny hilss (which aren't so small by the way) had a lift that you grabbed a bar and it pulled you to the top. Me and a friend kept falling off. We ended up walking up the hill the first few times till we could figure it out. There were a few times that I made it all the way down the hill without falling, but I didn't know how to control my speed so I went super fast. You are supposed to go back and forth down the hill, but I just went straight :). I took a few really hard falls though. I hit my head on the snow pretty good one fall. We even went tubing. That was so much fun! On the largest one, there is a huge hump that you actually go airborn over!!

After snowboarding and tubing all day, we made it home just in time for me to go to a friend's Dove chocolate party. I had never been to one, or really have heard of it, but it was fun as well. There was chocolate fundue, chocolate martinis (I am not a martini girl at all), and some really awesome hot chocolate. We got to sample alot of chocolate and saw how easy it was to make some really elegant dessets.

After that, James and I went to a bar in town with some friends. We rarely ever go out to a bar. We just listened to the live band, played some darks, drank a bit, and had a good time. We had alot of fun. James and I need more kid free dates in the future.

Sunday I worked at Old Navy. I had a bit of a headache and was sore from snowboarding and drinking the night before though. Work is going well. I am only working 3 times a week now which is perfect.

Kylee is home from school today. Last night she got another really high fever. It was 104.1 and it went down to 103.2 with motrin. So she is laying on the couch relaxing today. She doesn't act sick, just tired and cranky. Thats exactly how her pneumonia started out though, so I'm really going to keep an eye on her. The doctor did say she could get pneumonia again cause the hospital didn't give her a full dose of antibiotics. I hope its not that.
