not-so longies and a pair of socks

Wyatt's longies I've been making are now going to be shorties. I didn't realize I didn't have enough wool to make them longies. :( If I would have known that earlier, I would have knitted these BEFORE summer instead of now. O'well. He can wear them around the house in the winter time, maybe they'll still fit in the spring.




Mel, he taught me how to knit, makes her own patterns and dyes her own fiber. (how cool is that?) She wrote the pattern for the shorties/longies I make for Wyatt to cover his diapers. I asked her to dye me some really cool looking wool to make longies for Wyatt. I asked for blue, grey and black. She had a purple, grey and black one at the Yarn Stash today and I loved it. But James wouldn't go for purple. Anyhow, when Mel can get around to dyeing me some wool, I'll make a pair of longies for Wyatt.



My next project is a pair of socks. Hopefully I can get them done within a month so I can move on to another project. This is what the socks will be made out of. Mel dyed them.





I have a bunch of stuff I want to knit in the next several months... but I doubt I'll have time to do it all.
