I know, Its been a while....

Did you all miss reading my blog? It seems like its been such a long time since I updated last. A lot has been going on around here lately. I've been busy taking care of my 3 kids... I mean, my 2 kids and James. lol.

Speaking of James, he is doing pretty good. He'll be going back to work on the 6th and he should get his cast off on the 16th. After that, he'll have the Cam Walker on for 6 weeks again. The first few weeks of that, he'll still be using the crutches and bearing some weight on it. Before he can wear a shoe and probably even start PT, he'll have one more surgery to take the pin out that is across his joint. It's a lot of work to get his feet to normal, but something that needs to be taken care of.

Wyatt is doing well, other than teething and not sleeping well lately. Right now he only has one top tooth and one bottom tooth. He is working on two teeth right now though, which means he's cranky at night. Last night he woke up 4 times wanting to nurse. I really can't wait till I can sleep all night; I need a good nights sleep. His new thing is dancing. When he hears music, he'll wiggle and shake his body. Its funny to watch, he must have gotten his dad's rhythm!! He has been standing on his own lately too. Not for very long, but a few seconds here and there. Walking is not too far away though. He loves to push things and walk with it. But when he walks, his feet point out. I don't remember Kylee walking like that, so I'm not sure if its normal. I guess we'll just see how he does when he starts to walk by himself. Oh, the little booger knows how to climb stairs too! We have had a gate at the stairs for a while, but he never climbed them. One day when I walked up there, he cried and started following me. He made it to the first step before I caught him. So the gate stays closed now. James and I have let him climb up them if we are behind him, just to see if he can do it. Nothing else is new with him. He's just getting cuter and cuter all the time.

Kylee has a mind of her own. She is Ms. Chatterbox. Anywhere we go, she is trying to make friends. Story time is a perfect place for her to go and make some friends... if only she would learn not to talk while the librarian is reading a book. Story time with Kylee goes something like this...

Kylee- "Hi. My name is Kylee. Whats your name?" (talking to anyone who walks in)
the new friend- "My..." (doesn't get a word in because Kylee continues)
Kylee- "This is my brother Wyatt. Can I sit with you? I like your skirt. Oh,I have a baby doll too."

Seriously, she will talk any little kid's ear off. She is the loudest yet friendliest littler girl almost anywhere we go. Now, she may look nice, but Kylee is no angle. I will be the first to admit that. She usually plays very well with other kids, but every once in a while she'll push or hit the other kid. It usually happens after she's spent an hour or two with the same kid. Anyhow, Kylee still is a pretty picky eater. We've been trying a new thing with her though. I make sure she gets a good breakfast and lunch. Then for dinner, she gets what we are eating. No more of me making her own meal cause she doesn't like what me and James are having.... unless its something I know she won't eat, like chili. (Chili isn't really a good meal for a kid, so I'll make a special dinner for her.) So when its dinner time her plate looks just like ours and Wyatt's. She won't eat it, she complains about it and wants down. But our rule is, she doesn't leave the dinner table till everyone is done with their food. She knows the rule and tries to tell me she needs to use the bathroom just so she can get down from the table... but I also know her tricks. lol. She has yet to eat a dinner though, but eventually she will.... I hope.

As for me, I've been busy with the house, the kids, getting ready for school... the list goes on. I am just about to pay for the summer semester of school. I didn't know that I had to pay in full before I would be enrolled in my classes. I was hoping to be able to make payments, but since its online, MSU's policy is for it to be paid in full. This will make it a little hard to pay for the fall semesters classes. I'll be getting some money this summer for school from the VA, but possibly not enough. So, we'll just have to save and wait and see what happens. If we don't go to TX, we won't spend that extra money that we may need to pay for school. This is why our summer trip to Texas may not happen. We were planning on flying, which means we'd have to buy those tickets pretty soon. But I won't know if I'll have the tuition for fall's semester until mid summer. That's too late to buy plan tickets. James and I have talked about possibly driving there, but he's still not for it yet. Its a very long drive, especially with two kids. But, if we don't make it home this summer, we wont be coming home till summer of 2009! Way too long for me to wait!!

Family pictures should be in the mail soon to everyone! I finally was able to pick them up today. I'll be getting them ready over the weekend. I'll also post when they are finally mailed out.
