We've had alot of cold weather up here lately. It was down around negative 45 with the wind chill today. I had to take the kids out in it too. Wyatt had his check-up for his tongue today. It healed up just fine. I literally was there for two minutes. What a waste of time.
We had a nice long weekend filled with lots of shopping. I bought some new clothes for myself from a store called Maurices. I LOVE that store! I haven't shopped there since before I was pregnant with Kylee. I found a few cute shirts there. I really have no clothes other than normal t-shirts. My style is pretty boring, but I just don't have the time or energy to shop. I'm gonna start dressing better though. I'm tired of my "my-kids-don't-leave-me-alone-long-enough-to-get-ready-and-I-was-rushed-out-the-door" look. If anyone wants to nominate me for 'What Not To Wear', my feeling would not be hurt and it would be much appreciated.
We also bought the kids some new clothes as well. Wyatt really needs summer clothes. For some reason, when summer clothes went on clearence last year, I assumed Wyatt would wear 12 month clothes. So, I have some summer clothes that are 12 months and I'm almost sure he won't fit into them... especially the shorts. He's got a big bum cause of his diapers. So, he'll probably still wear 18 month clothes this summer. He can wear 12 month and 12-18 months right now. Anyhow, we bought Wyatt some winter clothes that were on clearence. We got some Osh Kosh and Carter's for dirt cheap. Like 4 bucks for a shirt. They were on sale, and then an extra 70% off. I found Kylee a pair of Adidas pants for next year or the year after for 3 dollars and a cute Osh Kosh shirt for next winter for 4 dollars. I LOVE to buy things in advance. If I find a pair of pants that are a few sizes too big at a great price, why not buy them? I know eventually they will wear it. We also bought Wyatt some clothes from JC Penny. They had their Arizona and Okie Dokie on sale for buy one get one for a buck. Kylee has some summer clothes left over from last year, but alot of her shirts are too small from shrinking. (That tends to happen when I wash clothes) Also, the fit of shirts these days are a lil small and skimpy in my opinion. Old Navy had a really cute dress for Kylee in a size 3T. Normally, that would fit her pretty well, a little big and not so short like its suppossed to be if I bought it in her actually size. But this dress hardly covered up her bum! I really couldn't believe it. My daughter is not going to be wearing skimpy clothes this summer.
We also had professional pictures done on Monday. It was alot of fun and so much different from Sears or Wal-Mart. It was just like how my senior pictures were. The kids changed outfits once, well, shirts. And Wyatt had his picute taken in just a diaper. I think they'll turn out really great. I should be getting an email tomorrow with the information to view them all online. Once I get that, I'll post it on here. We don't plan on buying alot of pictures. Just a few for us, and then maybe one 5X7 for each parent. The next time we have pictures done of the kids will be around their birthdays, and it will just be of them, not us.
I also got a hair cut this weekend and I really like it. If I don't blow dry it (which I never did before the cut) it doesn't look like "my-kids-don't-leave-me-alone-long-enough-to-get-ready-and-I-was-rushed-out-the-door" look.
The kids and I are sick. Kylee has had a fever, cough and congestion. Wyatt has had a runny nose and a cough. Over the weekend he threw up twice and had a fever. I am congested, stuffy and have a cough. I think we caught it from James. He had it not too long ago.
Other than all that, nothing much is going on. We have another busy weekend coming up. I'll write about all that this weekend.
